US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met Israeli leaders on Wednesday after Hamas put forward a detailed plan for a new ceasefire and hostage release deal, but both sides insist on so-far elusive goals as the war enters its fifth month. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said talks with Mr Blinken were “long and in-depth”, without giving further detail.
