US National Security Adviser Ned Sullivan said President Joe Biden’s recent decision to pause weapons transfers to Israel if it launches a full invasion of Rafah did not mean that Washington was going to abandon its long-time ally. With widespread risk to civilians and the perceived ultimate failure of the operation in Rafah, Biden “doesn’t want to see American weapons used” there, he told ABC News. “Nobody is a stronger supporter of Israel than Joe Biden. He has sent an enormous amount of capability for Israel to take on Hamas,” he added.
