Far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has called on police commissioner Yaakov Shabtai to allow only a few thousand Muslims to enter Al Aqsa Mosque during Ramadans. “About one week before the start of the month of Ramadan, Ben-Gvir has demanded from the police commissioner to limit only a few thousand Muslims to enter Al Aqsa Mosque during this month,” the Israeli Maariv newspaper reported. It said that Mr Ben-Gvir, who has a history of inciting anti-Arab sentiment, met Mr Shabtai on Sunday to review police plans for Al Aqsa Mosque compound during the holy month.
