Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said the decision to begin a “tactical pause” in some Gaza operations was not brought before the cabinet and is “contrary to its decisions”. “Whomever decided on a tactical truce for the purpose of a humanitarian transition at a time when many of our soldiers are falling in battle is an evil [person] and a fool who should not continue in his position,” he said.
