A person was shot and killed after trying to stab several others near a kibbutz on the Gaza border, according to Israeli authorities. No one was wounded in the attempted attack, near Netiv Ha’asara, Israeli police and emergency services said. Unconfirmed Israeli media reports initially said the suspect was an American citizen and shouted “the army is killing civilians in Gaza” before being shot by the kibbutz security team.
