A man tried to assassinate famous religious scholar and Vice-President Darul Uloom, Mufti Taqi Usmani. The attack was made unsuccessful by the security guard and the accused was handed over to the law. It is reported that the suspect attacked Mufti Taqi during a private meeting with him after fajr prayer and a guard restrained him. Police during the investigation found a knife from the accused.
