At least 30 people were killed during the last 24 hours as Israeli forces advanced into the east of Khan Younis and into central Rafah, Palestinian health officials said on Thursday. Israeli strikes on eastern Khan Younis had killed 14 people, taking the death toll across Gaza over the past 24 hours to 30 people with 146 injured. Military operations have been around the eastern town Bani Suaila, Al Zanna, and Al Karara, where the army said on Wednesday it had found the bodies of five Israelis who were killed in Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel and held in Gaza since.
