At least 112 children are admitted for malnutrition treatment every day in the Gaza strip, the UN children’s agency, Unicef, said on Saturday. “The number of children who have entered the stage of severe malnutrition has increased by 180 per cent when compared to February and June,” Unicef spokesperson Kazem Abu Khalaf told the Palestinian news agency, Wafa. “There are tens of thousands of children suffering from varying degrees of malnutrition, which poses a direct threat to their lives and futures,” he said.
