Wellington, Oct 17 (AFP/APP): Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern won a landslide victory in New Zealand’s general election Saturday, leveraging success in battling COVID19 to gain an unprecedented outright majority and the chance to implement her reform agenda.

Voters also cast ballots in two referendums, one on legalising recreational cannabis and the other on legalising euthanasia, although the results will not be known until October 30.
