Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to meet with Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif next week to discuss the nomination of the chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

According to sources, the government’s legal experts will give their recommendations on whether to nominate a new anti-graft body chief or prolong the mandate of the current. They also stated that the Attorney General’s (AGP) office has forwarded a proposal of numerous modifications to the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) to the Prime Minister’s Office. However, the specifics of these amendments have yet to be revealed.
