Turkish intelligence officials warned their Israeli counterparts that there would be “serious consequences” if they carried out operations against members of Hamas on Turkish soil, the state-run news agency reported. The warning came after Ronen Bar, head of Israel’s domestic security agency Shin Bet, said in an audio recording that his organization was prepared to destroy Hamas “in every place”, including in Lebanon, Turkey, and Qatar. Anadolu quoted Turkish intelligence officials saying that “necessary warnings were made” to Israeli officials, who were told their actions would “have serious consequences”.
