The federal government on Thursday appointed BS-21 officer Akhtar Hayat as the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General (IG) Police, replacing Moazzam Ansari. The statement said, “With the approval of the federal government, Mr. Akhtar Hayat……under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973, with immediate effect and until further orders.”
