Finnish President Sauli Niinistö welcomed Turkey’s decision to begin the ratification process of Finland’s application to NATO. It also said that its membership was “not complete” without Sweden. “It is very good to hear this news,” Niinistö told reporters. “But we have a neighbor, Sweden……. I have a feeling that Finnish NATO membership is not complete without Sweden,” he added.
