Islamabad: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has indicated its willingness to sympathetically view the targeted assistance for poor and vulnerable, especially flood affected people of Pakistan. According to a statement issued by finance ministry, Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar held an online meeting with IMF Mission Chief for Pakistan, Nathan Porter. “IMF indicated its willingness to sympathetically view the targeted assistance for poor and vulnerable, especially flood affectees,” the statement added.

Court acquits LK Advani, MM Joshi & 30 others 28 yrs after Babri Masjid demolition

A special CBI court in Lucknow on Wednesday acquitted 32 accused, including BJP veterans LK Advani, MM Joshi and Uma Bharti, of criminal conspiracy charges around 28 years after Babri Masjid was demolished in Ayodhya. The case has been investigated by CBI and the agency produced 351 witnesses and nearly 600 documents as evidence before the special court.
