A key committee of the UN General Assembly has unanimously adopted a Pakistan-sponsored resolution, reaffirming the right to self-determination for people who are subjected to colonial, foreign and alien occupation. The resolution submitted by Pakistan and co-sponsored by 72 countries. The resolution, which Pakistan has been sponsoring since 1981, serves to focus the world’s attention on the people still struggling for their inalienable right to self-determination, including those in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) and Palestine.
