On Wednesday, Pakistan and Turkey pledged to strengthen their strategic and economic ties and agreed to take steps to combat terrorism.

The pledges were made during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s one-on-one meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Later, during a joint press appearance at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, they made their vow public.

Mr Erdogan accepted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s invitation to visit Pakistan in September for talks on subjects of mutual interest.
