Lviv/Kyiv: On March 16, Russia and Ukraine both emphasized newfound scope for compromise as peace talks were set to resume three weeks into a Russian assault. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that the talks were becoming “more realistic”. On the other hand, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that there was “some hope for compromise”, with neutral status for Ukraine.
