Jerusalem: On Feb 2, Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz began a visit to Bahrain on Wednesday amidst increased tensions in the Gulf. The tensions increased after missile attacks on the United Arab Emirates by Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi movement. “Gantz would sign a security cooperation agreement with Bahrain, which along with the neighboring UAE normalised relations with Israel in 2020,” Israel’s Defence Ministry announced.
