During the ongoing raids, police arrested six additional major suspects in the Sialkot lynching case, while condemnations from all corners of society continued to come in on Sunday.

The chief minister directed that the legal proceedings against the accused be expedited further and that the inquiry be conducted in a scientific manner. According to a spokesman, the police used CCTV footage and data from mobile phones to identify six major suspects and arrested them at their friends’ and relatives’ homes. In surveillance footage, the defendants were seen brandishing sticks in their hands and torturing the Sri Lankan manager.
