A senior official with the US-backed Board of Peace has warned that continued deadlock in Gaza and escalating West Bank violence could make a two-state solution impossible. Nickolay Mladenov said the lack of progress under the ceasefire plan has left no credible political path forward. He noted that Israeli forces control much of Gaza, while Hamas retains authority elsewhere. A proposed roadmap also includes international oversight of weapons decommissioning.
