Pakistan’s Climate Challenge Tests Global Commitments

Three years after devastating floods turned Pakistan into a symbol of climate justice, the country still struggles to secure adequate financing. The Loss and Damage Fund has been established, but support remains limited. Pakistan faces enormous costs for climate adaptation, resilience and emissions reduction, while promised flood-recovery funding has arrived slowly. Much of the pledged assistance also came through loans or previously committed development funds.
