Pakistan on Sunday expressed strong concern over the demolition of a historic mosque in India’s Uttar Pradesh. Foreign Office spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan called the action reprehensible and warned of growing religious intolerance. He recalled the 1992 Babri Mosque demolition as a symbol of prejudice and hatred. Pakistan urged the international community to take notice of alleged persecution of Muslims and called for accountability over threats to minority rights and heritage.
