Pakistani filmmaker Sarmad Khoosat’s film Lali has been selected for the 70th BFI London Film Festival, the UK’s leading film event. The festival unveiled its programme on Wednesday, featuring works from around the world. Lali will be screened on October 7. Khoosat, who co-wrote the film with Sundus Hashmi, celebrated its selection on Instagram. The film earlier made history as the first fully Pakistani-produced feature to premiere at the Berlinale in February.
