Iran’s Foreign Ministry has condemned the United States’s latest campaign of economic pressure against Tehran, warning all countries that participation in it amounts to complicity in imposing one state’s unlawful will on independent states. In a statement, the ministry argued that US sanctions violated the UN Charter and described Washington’s declaration of economic war as a continuation of the military conflict waged against Iran by the US and Israel. It referred to the move as reprehensible “state terrorism” and a crime against humanity.
