ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Energy has informed the Senate that more than 2.1 million smart meters have been installed across Pakistan’s power distribution companies. LESCO leads the rollout with over 1.15 million units, followed by GEPCO and MEPCO. IESCO and FESCO have also installed more than 100,000 meters each. PESCO, K-Electric, HESCO and SEPCO account for the remaining installations, according to a written reply submitted by the ministry to the Senate.
