UNRWA has released a statement in response to the Israeli raid of the UN agency’s training centre in Qalandiya in the occupied West Bank, saying it “unequivocally condemns” the incursion. As a UN facility, the training centre is protected by immunities afforded to the organisation under international law, UNRWA said. It added that any attempt to undermine the functioning of an UNRWA facility inhibits the UN’s ability to carry out its mandate.
