Iran’s Foreign Ministry summoned Britain’s ambassador in Tehran on Thursday to protest against what it called “baseless accusations” that Tehran was involved in security-related activities in Britain, state media reported. The move follows Britain’s decision to summon Iran’s charge d’affaires in London on Tuesday after two Romanian nationals were jailed over the 2024 stabbing of a British-Iranian journalist. Britain said the attack was carried out on behalf of the Iranian state, an assertion Tehran has rejected.
