India will send its minister of state for foreign affairs, Shri Pabitra Margherita, and Syed Ata Hasnain, governor of Bihar state, to Iran on Friday for the funeral of slain Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. “The high-level representation in the ceremony underscores the importance of civilisational ties, including people-to-people connection, between the two countries, providing a robust foundation to political and economic engagements,” an External Affairs Ministry statement said.
