Two men enter Iranian embassy in Berlin to tear down flag

German police say the pair climbed over a fence into the embassy grounds and ripped down an Iranian flag last night. Both wanted to hoist two pre-Islamic republic flags but failed, news agency dpa reports. Security guards fired pepper spray, and the men were arrested on the sidewalk outside. At protests in support of the antigovernment rallies in London this week, one demonstrator removed the Iranian flag at the country’s embassy and displayed the pre-Islamic revolution flag.
