US threatening peace in Latin America: China

China’s Foreign Ministry says the use of force by the US military threatens peace in Latin America, and that it supports the UNSC meeting later today. Ministry spokesperson ‌Lin Jian reiterated Beijing’s stance on the US attack on ‍Venezuela and called for the immediate ‍release of Maduro. Lin said the government has maintained positive communication and ‌cooperation with the Venezuelan government, adding that, however the international situation changes, China will remain good friends with Latin American countries.
