Israel says it assassinated the Hezbollah commander because the group was rearming and regrouping. The US was informed of the attack. There are still questions over whether the US was told before, during or after the attack. But in any case, we’ve heard from Washington saying not enough has been done to disarm Hezbollah and that Lebanon needs a lot of help to do what it has to do. As far as Israel is concerned, enforcing the ceasefire with fire is a doctrine, and that is what will continue to take place in the coming days.
