Former US Vice President Dick Cheney has died at 84, Punchbowl News reporter Jake Sherman said in a post on X on Tuesday. Cheney served as deputy to George W. Bush between 2001 and 2009, and was a leading and influential figure in US policy in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001, attacks and the subsequent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
