Hospitals in the Gaza Strip on Monday afternoon reported taking in the bodies of 71 Palestinians killed by Israeli air strikes in the preceding 24 hours, the Health Ministry said on Monday, taking the Palestinian death toll in the 18-month war to 52,314. At least 117,792 people have been injured since October 7, 2023, the ministry said in its daily update. A total of 2,222 people have been killed since March 18, when Israel resumed attacks on Gaza ending a two-month ceasefire.
