The main US-backed force in Syria, the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, on Tuesday proposed a plan to demilitariszed the city of Kobani and place the redistribution of security forces under US supervision “in affirmation of our firm commitment to achieving a comprehensive ceasefire throughout Syria”. “This initiative aims to address Turkey’s security concerns and ensure lasting stability in the region,” said SDF General Commander Mazloum Abdi.
