Beirut’s southern suburbs came under attack again on Friday morning, after the Israeli military had said it would target buildings in the Ghobeiry and Borj Al Barajneh neighbourhoods. There were no immediate reports of casualties in these mostly deserted areas. Israel’s military had warned remaining residents to leave, saying that “you are located near Hezbollah facilities and interests” against which Israeli forces would operate “in the near future”.
