Bill Nighy discussing his early drama school audition story on BBC Radio 4

Oscar-nominated actor Bill Nighy revealed he once stole the complete works of Shakespeare and George Bernard Shaw from a library to prepare for his drama school audition at Guildford School of Acting. Motivated by impressing a girl, Nighy mistakenly performed female roles, Eliza Doolittle and Cesario, which amused the panel. Despite this, he was called back and accepted into the school.
