The United Nations’ refugee chief Filippo Grandi said on Sunday that many strikes on Lebanon had violated international humanitarian law, in reference to Israel’s bombardment of large parts of the country. Mr Grandi arrived in Beirut on Saturday to support humanitarian efforts and ask for international help. On Sunday he visited schools in Beirut being used for displaced families before meeting Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
