It is unclear if the UN-led campaign to vaccinate Gaza’s children against polio will continue today after a convoy of medics was detained for hours on Monday. Philippe Lazzarini, the head of the UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees, said the convoy, was was detained at gunpoint near the Wadi Gaza checkpoint for more than eight hours. “We are not able to confirm whether the polio campaign will take place tomorrow in northern Gaza,” Mr Lazzarini said.
