Canada’s tax authority has revoked the tax-exempt status of the Jewish National Fund, a major pro-Israel organisation. No reason for the decision was not given, but the JNF said two weeks ago that it had been told its work did not abide by laws on charitable activity. JNF engages in projects across Israel, but pro-Palestine groups say it also contributes to Israeli settlement efforts on occupied Palestinian land.
