The head of the UN’s relief agency for Palestinian refugees has said Israel regularly and “blatantly” disregards the UN in Gaza. “Look at the number of staff who have been killed, more than 200, among them 189 staff from UNRWA,” Philippe Lazzarini said in a press conference with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi. Scores of UN staff have been detained and tortured by Israel, he added.
