Israel concluded its argument before the International Court of Justice by saying said it would be “unthinkable” for judges to order a withdrawal from Gaza. Such a ruling would “legitimise, protect and reward” Hamas’s tactics and “destine the Palestinians in Gaza to perpetual war”, Israeli representative Tamar Kaplan Tourgeman said.
