Pakistan achieved a historic milestone on Friday as the country’s first-ever lunar orbiter lifted off from China’s Henan Space Launch Site. iCube Qamar, Pakistan’s first satellite mission to the moon, launched into space on board China’s Chang’E6. According to the Institute of Space Technology, the satellite ICUBE-Q has been designed and developed by IST in collaboration with China’s Shanghai University SJTU and Pakistan’s national space agency SUPARCO.
