Dozens of Palestinian orphans were evacuated from Gaza to the occupied West Bank, said the German Foreign Ministry, which had pressed for the transfer. The evacuation from the orphanage run by SOS Children’s Village, an Austrian-based non-government organization, appeared to be one of the largest from Gaza since the war broke out on October 7. “We are relieved that our intensive efforts finally led to success yesterday and thank all involved,” the ministry said.
