Israeli war cabinet minister Benny Gantz said elections must be held “quickly” but the priority was on securing the return of hostages as Israelis gathered outside his home to protest. Crowds calling for elections and a hostage deal gathered outside his home in Rosh Ha’ayin, Haaretz reported, carrying signs saying: “The destruction is already here, we need elections.” “We need to have elections quickly and in a way everyone agrees with,” he told demonstrators.
