Turkish football club Basaksehir announced that it had ended the contract of Israeli player Eden Karzev. This followed a disciplinary probe of a social media post by the 23-year-old calling for the release of hostages held in Gaza. Basaksehir’s decision came days after another Israeli player, Sagiv Jehezkel, was briefly detained in Turkey.
