Israeli forces arrested five Palestinian Red Crescent volunteers in the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarm, hours after five people were killed in the refugee camp there. The volunteer paramedics were detained while providing medical care “despite proving their identities and wearing ambulance uniforms” the official Palestinian Wafa news agency reported. This came after a 22-year old was killed and a 13-year old injured when Israeli forces opened fire on their vehicle in Tulkarm camp, Wafa said. Israeli troops prevented ambulances from reaching the pair, said the agency.
