A Palestinian karate champion who lost her leg in an Israeli strike last month has died in Egypt, her father has told The National. Nagham Abu Samra, 24, who also suffered head injuries in the December 18 attack in Al Nuseirat, central Gaza, had been transferred from the enclave for treatment. But in the days leading to her death, she suffered complications and remained in a coma. Moreover, the Israeli attack also killed Abu Samra’s sister.
