An elderly woman was killed and her husband wounded after an Israeli artillery shell struck her house in the southern Lebanese border village of Maroun Al Ras. Nihad Musa Muhanna is the fourth civilian to be killed in the southern part of the country in only three days, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported. It is a dramatic rise in civilian deaths due to Israel’s bombardment of southern Lebanon, where fierce clashes with the Iran-backed Hezbollah group have taken place daily for 75 days.
