Saleh Yasin, the head of Yasuf Village Council, told Wafa news agency that dozens of settlers from Nahmia cut down trees that had stood for between 50 and 70 years. These trees were owned by residents of Yasuf, he said. Yasin said the land the trees stood on had been regularly targeted by settlers. Nahmia is illegally established on lands belonging to Yasuf and Iskaka villages.
