Leaders in Qatar and Kuwait received invitations for a summit in Cairo to be held on Saturday to “discuss developments and the future of the Palestinian cause and the peace process”. State media in both countries announced the invitations a day after Egypt announced its intention to host “a regional and international summit on the future of the Palestinian cause”, during a visit by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
